Sandstone sealer from CTS Chemistry
Sealing sandstone with VP-1 increases the resistance of the surface to moisture by reducing the absorbency of the substrate. This makes it far more resistant to all kinds of efflorescence and even to the development of biological contamination. It is also a solvent-free, UV-resistant product. The pores of the surface remain open, allowing proper gas and water vapour diffusion. CTS Chemistry sandstone sealer can be used outdoors and indoors, regardless of the age of the building.
The best sandstone sealer - application
As with our other products, proper preparation and cleaning of the surface is very important. Any cavities must also be filled before the product is applied. Sandstone can be sealed using a paint roller or brush. Apply about 1 mm of the product; if it is fully absorbed within 10 minutes, repeat the process. Sometimes even three applications are needed.
