Description
Sealer VD-1 is a high-quality, water-based hydrophobic product. It increases the resistance of the surface to dirt and reduces the risk of efflorescence. It increases the frost resistance of the protected surface. The sealer does not change the appearance of the surface - it does not form a coating. VD-1 does not change the vapour permeability of the substrates to which it is applied.

Result
Surface preparation
- The method of cleaning the substrate should be adapted individually to the building, the way the substrate was produced and its condition.
- Before impregnation, the substrate should be cleaned of dust, dirt, patina, loose and crumbling fragments, salt efflorescence and paint residues.
- The substrate should be dry. Slight surface dampness is acceptable.
- Any defects in the substrate should be repaired before impregnation begins.
- It is recommended to protect all surfaces near the substrate being impregnated against possible soiling - window and door frames, glass, etc.
Note. Do not impregnate surfaces with a high degree of salinity, as this may intensify the crystallisation of building salts and damage the substrate material.
Application instructions
Sealer VD-1 is a ready to use product. Do not dilute.
- Apply the product with a soft roller or brush; on large surfaces, spray equipment with a flat-fan nozzle can be used.
- In both cases, distribute the product generously and evenly over the entire surface until the substrate is saturated, applying one thicker, evenly distributed layer.
- If the applied sealer soaks into the substrate after about 5-10 minutes, apply another coat to the entire previously impregnated surface. This must be done wet-on-wet, without allowing the substrate to dry after the first application.
- Depending on the properties and porosity of the protected substrate, repeat the above step 2 or 3 times.
- During the work and immediately after it, protect freshly impregnated surfaces from direct sunlight and rain for at least 5 hours.
Before impregnation, we recommend a trial application on an inconspicuous area, following the above instructions, to check how the substrate reacts to the product.

Shelf life
Use the product within 36 months of the production date shown on the packaging. Store and transport in tightly closed original packaging, in dry conditions, at a temperature from +5 °C to +30 °C. Protect from overheating.
