Flamed granite sealer - wet stone effect
HG-2 is a flamed granite sealer that gives a wet stone effect without the risk of increasing the slipperiness of the surface. It is based on modified silanes and siloxanes, which protect against water. HG-2 provides excellent protection for granite against the penetration of substances such as:
- water;
- chemicals;
- oil;
- food;
- drinks such as coffee or tea.
The water-based sealer HG-2 provides excellent protection against the development of biological contamination and the formation of efflorescence. Our range also includes HG-1, which protects the surface without changing the colour or appearance of the stone. Both products are UV-resistant and do not impair the properties of the material - they do not block the pores and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Sealing flamed granite - how is it done?
Do you know how to seal polished granite safely and effectively? The first step is to clean the granite surface thoroughly of any dirt and dust. Then wait until it is dry - only slight dampness is acceptable. Next, apply the product with a brush or roller. After about an hour, remove any excess with an absorbent cloth. For about 5 hours, the sealed surface should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The product is also suitable as a sealer for black granite.
